
A non-profit organization formed by the submarine industrial base (SIB) on Tuesday won a $951 million Navy contract to help improve that industrial base. The Defense Department contract announcement said this funding will “support planning, resourcing, coordinating, and uplifting the U.S. Submarine Industrial Base and Foreign Military Sales requirements.” The contracted work will occur in Bryan, Texas and covers $503 million obligated at the time of award in Navy shipbuilding and foreign partner funds.
