Belgium’s Exail Wins $66 Million NATO Order For Underwater Anti-Mine Drones

NATO’s Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) awarded Belgium’s Exail Robotics Belgium a $66 million contract for K-Ster CT unmanned mine countermeasures mine neutralization training vehicles and associated equipment for underwater mine disposal. The equipment, awarded Aug. 27, is specifically meant to be used by the Belgium and the Royal Netherlands navies. The K-Ster C is an expendable mine disposal vehicle geared towards “efficient mine neutralization.” The company boasts it is compact, lightweight, has high maneuverability and an advanced guidance system…
