B-2 Program Says It’s Fielding Spirit Realm 1 Open Mission Systems Architecture

Officials with the U.S. Air Force and Northrop Grumman [NOC] B-2 program said that they are moving to field the Spirit Realm 1 (SR 1) open mission systems architecture for the stealth bomber, which had its flight debut on July 17, 35 years ago. "SR 1 provides mission critical capability upgrades to the communications and weapons systems via an open mission systems architecture, directly enhancing combat capability and allowing the fleet to initiate a new phase of agile software releases,"…
