AtHoc Deploys Enterprise-Wide Emergency Notification System for Coast Guard

The Coast Guard has awarded AtHoc, Inc., a second increment to a contract awarded last July to add another 25,000 users to the company's next-generation Internet Protocol-based wireless emergency mass notification system, bringing to 50,000 the number of Coast Guard users on the system. AtHoc's system is replacing one the Coast Guard had developed themselves. The upgraded system provides greater usability, functionality and supports additional missions such as hurricane preparedness, natural disasters, personnel recalls, search and rescue operations, and waterway…
