The Army awarded Sikorsky, a division of Lockheed Martin [LMT], a $55 million foreign military sales (FMS) contract modification for seven uniquely configured UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters bound for Mexico, the service said Monday.
The total award was obligated at award time using Fiscal 2016 “other procurement” funds. Contract work is to occur in West Palm Beach, Fla., with an expected completion date by Feb. 28, 2019.
The contracting activity is Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala.
The Pentagon has approved Sikorsky contracts to provide a total of several dozen variously configured UH-60M Black Hawks and assorted equipment in April 2014 (Defense Daily, April 22, 2014), September 2014 (Defense Daily, Sept. 16, 2014), and March 2015 (Defense Daily, March 19, 2015).
