Army Awards Sikorsky $1.3 Billion In Helicopter Contracts

The Army on Monday awarded Sikorsky a pair of contract modifications worth nearly $1.3 billion for helicopters and support functions, according to a Defense Department statement. The Army awarded Sikorsky $772 million for 41 UH-60M and 24 HH-60M helicopters. It also received $535 million to provide funding for the Navy’s fourth program year for eight MH-60S and 29 MH-60R helicopters, in addition to support functions. Sikorsky is a division of United Technologies Corp. [UTX]
