Air Force Issues RFI for Person-borne IED Detection Systems

The Air Force Electronic Systems Center has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to conduct market research for person-borne improvised explosive device (PBIED) stand-off detection system to increase the safety of military personnel during their missions in theater. A high probability of detection and a low false alarm rate are two main criteria military forces are seeking in these detection systems.
