In the next year, the U.S. Air Force may issue a five-year Advanced Range and Radar Array Key Instrument for Sustainment (ARRAKIS) solicitation to improve the performance of the Lockheed Martin [LMT] AN/FPS-117 radar, originally developed by General Electric [GE].
