ABE is a gyro-stabilized, electro-optical angular measurement system designed to align systems on any land, sea or air vehicle before mission execution, a company statement said. Platform-specific personality modules are utilized to address the requirements of each new application quickly and precisely.

The ABE system is used by the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines, as well as allied military and aircraft manufacturers.

“Our ABE systems have been utilized for more than 20 aircraft platforms because of their precision measurement accuracy and repeatability,” said AAI Test & Training Senior Vice President and General Manager Steve Mensh. “In addition, we’ve made the system user friendly to minimize training requirements and greatly reduce boresight time. The ABE system will provide the Royal Australian Navy the same trusted boresight solution as currently used by the U.S. Navy.”
