Fifty people were killed Thursday night Feb. 12 when Continental Connection Flight 3407, a Bombardier Q400 operated by Colgan Air, crashed about five miles short of Buffalo Niagara International. The fatal accident broke a two-year dearth in U.S. airline deaths. The 74-seat regional airliner was en route from Newark's Liberty International to Buffalo.
