U.S. Approves Lockheed Martin Acquisition of Sikorsky

U.S. officials approved Lockheed Martin’s [LMT] acquisition of Sikorsky Aircraft from United Technologies Corp. [UTX], according to a Lockheed Martin report to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Sept. 24.First announced in July, Lockheed Martin entered into a Stock Purchase Agreement with UTC to purchase all of the issued and outstanding equity of Sikorsky and certain affiliated entities.One of the closing conditions of the transaction was the expiration or termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust improvements…
