Three HASC Republicans To Join House Appropriations Committee

Three Republicans on the House Armed Services Committee, Reps. Mark Alford (R-Mo.), Dale Strong (R-Ala.) and Nick LaLota (R-N.Y.), will join the Appropriations Committee in the next Congress. Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.), chair of the Appropriations Committee, announced the Republican Steering Committee's recommendations for new members on Friday. Along with Alford, LaLota and Strong, Reps. Celeste Maloy (R-Utah) and Riley Moore (R-W.Va.) will join the appropriations panel replacing outgoing Reps. Mike Garcia (R-Calif.), Jake LaTurner (R-Kan.) and Jerry Carl (R-Ala.)…
