Textron [TXT] selected BAE Systems to provide its LiteHUD head-up display for the Textron AirLand Scocpion jet, BAE said Monday.The initial order is set to support the Scorpion’s flight test program. LiteHUD uses the company’s patented optical waveguide technology and is 60 percent smaller by volume and 50 percent lighter than conventional heads-up displays, BAE said.The company highlighted LiteHUD is engineered to enhance situational awareness to significantly improve flight safety and reduce pilot fatigue.
