Space RCO Wants Budget Commitment on 12 SCAR Antennas

The U.S. Space Force Space Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO) in Albuquerque, N.M., is hoping to get a budget commitment in fiscal 2026 for 12 Satellite Communications Augmentation Resource (SCAR) antennas. In 2022, Space Force awarded BlueHalo, acquired last month by AeroVironment [AVAV], a $1.4 billion Other Transaction Authority rapid prototyping contract for SCAR (Defense Daily, May 24, 2022).
