Smiths Detection Nabs $26.7M AT X-Ray Award from TSA

Smiths Detection has received a $26.7 million contract from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to provide 164 6040 aTiX Advanced Technology (AT) X-Ray systems for aviation checkpoint security. The award is the third for Smiths under its AT X-Ray contract. The initial award in Oct. 2007 was for $21 million and the second award in June was for $25 million. TSA has also awarded contracts to OSI Systems [OSIS] Rapiscan division to supply its 620DV AT X-Ray system to screen…
