The State Department approved a possible $66 million Foreign Military Sales (FMS) request to Singapore for XM395 Accelerated Precision Mortar Initiative (APMI) rounds.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) notified Congress of the potential sale March 13.

The request includes 2,000 XM395 APMI rounds; U.S. Government and contractor services; and other associated support equipment and services.

The primary contractor is Orbital ATK [OA].

Singapore would use these munitions as defense articles and services to modernize its armed forces to meet current and future threats, strengthen homeland defense, and provide greater security to its economic infrastructure, DSCA said.

Implementation of the sale will require U.S. government or contractor representatives to travel to Singapore for one week for equipment fielding and acceptance testing by the Quality Assurance Team.
