Collaborative autonomy software developer Scientific Systems Company, Inc. has entered the sea drone fray, introducing a small unmanned surface vessel (sUSV) designed for expeditionary interceptor, contested logistics, and other missions for the Navy and other customers. The Vehicle for Expeditionary Naval Over-the-Horizon Missions (VENOM) autonomous sUSV (AUSV) features SSCI’s Collaborative Mission Autonomy (CMA) software architecture as the centerpiece to enable swarms of sea drones to operate with humans in the loop rather than remotely controlling each craft.
