The Army has awarded Science Applications International Corp. [SAI] a potential five-year, $500 million contract to provide and support Defense Department installations with chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear protection and response capabilities. SAIC won the initial Installation Protection Program, also called Guardian, in 2003. “This win demonstrates the commitment of the SAIC team currently supporting the CBRN-IPP to achieve program success in a challenging environment,” says John Ferriter, senior vice president and business unit general manager at SAIC.
