Sweden’s Saab and Denmark’s Systematic recently signed a broad cooperative agreement giving both firms access to each other’s products and capabilities in the command and control market.
Open access to each other’s products and capabilities will allow the firms to provide their respective customers and partners more integrated solutions.
“Working together is a fantastic opportunity for both companies,” Michael Holm, president and CEO of Systematic, said in a statement. “We at Systematic are looking forward to sharing our complementary technologies and know-how so that we can offer customers fully combined products and integrated systems.”
The companies said that their combination of products will also demonstrate the benefits that highly developed off-the-shelf software products can bring when integrated into defense systems.
The agreement also strengthens the “Nordic industry competitiveness,” Gunilla Fransson, head of Business Area Security and Defence Solutions at Saab, said in a statement.
