Saab Providing Sea Giraffe Radar In FMS To Philippines

Sweden’s Saab said it will supply the Sea Giraffe Agile Multi-Beam (ABM) naval radar system in a Foreign Military Sale (FMS) agreement between the U.S. and the Philippines.The AN/SPS-77 Sea Giraffe is planned to be installed in two Philippine Navy frigates: BRP Gregorio del Pilar (FF-15) and BRP Ramon Alcaraz (FF-16). The ships are both former Hamilton-class U.S. Coast Guard cutters.The sale also includes the company’s 9LV combat management system for radar control and display for situational awareness.The AMB model…
