The AMRAAM AIM-120C7s were deployed on F-16s and F/A-18s and on the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS), which was used by Norway and Finland, while Turkey and Switzerland fire the AMRAMS from the fighter jets, Raytheon said.

Raytheon said the missiles were successful during the tests in striking a variety and profiles of targets, but was not more specific.

Thirty-six countries buy AMRAAMs and it has been deployed on F-15s, F-16s, F/A-18s, F-22s, Typhoons, Gripens, Tornadoes, Harriers, F-4s and the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, according to Raytheon.
