Raytheon [RTN] has delivered its Mobile Nuclear Radiation Detection System (MNRDS) to Florida's Department of Transportation. Florida ordered the mobile system, which is based on Raytheon's work for the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office under the Advanced Spectroscopic Portal program, in the spring (TR2, May 27). The MNRDS provides the ability to detect and identify nuclear radiation in mobile and stationary operations using advanced spectroscopic technology.
