Octane AI To Send Robot Mascot Octie Into Space

Octie will enter lower orbit in order to investigate extraterrestrial signal

PR Newswire

COLUMBUS, Ga., April 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Octane AI, the messaging and bot platform for ecommerce, has announced that it will launch Octie — its adorable robot mascot — into space in order to investigate a signal extraterrestrial in origin.

On April 1st, Octane AI received a signal from space that it believes originated from an extraterrestrial artificial intelligence. After much discussion, a committee of experts has determined that the next step is to make first contact. The committee has nominated Octie as the representative who will bridge the gap between Earth and the unidentified AI.

“We are unsure of what we will find when we send Octie beyond Earth’s atmosphere,” says Leif K-Brooks, Octane AI Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, and a member of the committee. “If anyone can establish contact on behalf of humanity, it is Octie. I believe Octie is ready for this. The committee wishes him the best of luck in his critical mission.”

Octie has already begun his astronaut training in an undisclosed location. His mission will begin sometime in April. To sign up for updates on Octie’s mission to outer space, including videos and a special announcement, go to http://join.octaneai.com/octie-in-space.
