PITTSBURGH, Feb. 27, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — With school safety a top priority, an inventor from Whittier, Calif., has come up with a new security feature that will be effective in both public and private settings. His idea is designed to stop shooters and other intruders before they can cause harm.

He developed A.R.D.A.N.T. DEFENSE DOOR to provide a non-lethal means of stopping a suspect from entry into a specific room or area of a building. As such, it prevents security breaches but does not interfere with normal door use when it is not activated. The inventor’s professional experience inspired the idea. “Watching one school shooting happen after another, I knew something had to change.
