InventHelp Inventor Develops New Interior Security Door (OCM-1326)

PR Newswire

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 27, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — With school safety a top priority, an inventor from Whittier, Calif., has come up with a new security feature that will be effective in both public and private settings. His idea is designed to stop shooters and other intruders before they can cause harm.

He developed A.R.D.A.N.T. DEFENSE DOOR to provide a non-lethal means of stopping a suspect from entry into a specific room or area of a building. As such, it prevents security breaches but does not interfere with normal door use when it is not activated. Thus, it improves safety and affords peace of mind since it has the potential to save lives and prevent injuries. Other advantages are its effectiveness, reliability and ease of use. Safe, sturdy and impact resistant, it is also adaptable for use in most school, office and other public settings.

The inventor’s professional experience inspired the idea. “Watching one school shooting happen after another, I knew something had to change. I drew on my background as a former military police officer and currently working in a security office to develop a method that provides a formidable barrier and creates safe areas for the people behind that barrier,” he said. “And I truly believe this approach would be effective in schools and other public or private buildings.”

The original design was submitted to the Orange County sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
