SAN DIEGO, Feb. 6, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Ectron Corporation, a San Diego California based company, has been selected for participation in the U.S. Navy’s SeaPort Next Generation (SeaPort-NxG) multiple-award contract vehicle, which is estimated to annually award approximately $5 billion over the next 10 years.

Ectron is one of 1,870 companies that were awarded 10-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple-award contracts (MACs) for future competition in SeaPort-NxG. Under this contract, Ectron will help the Navy activate their strategies through their people in systems and process engineering, test and evaluation, research and development, modeling, simulation, prototyping and analysis, system design documentation, analytical and organizational assessment and logistics, computer and information security, and systems analysis and management.

Ectron has capabilities in embedded computing, systems engineering and program management for complex systems design and development. It’s thermocouple simulator-calibrator, the Model 1140A, has been a mainstay, high precision industry leading product for many years and has been consistently used by Naval PMEL.

Several of Ectron’s products have been used by the Navy, Air Force, Marine and Army Labs. Ectron supplies industrial controls and data acquisition products into aerospace, maritime, automotive and process control industries both domestically and for export customers.

Ectron is about to launch new AI/ML and DSP capable embedded computing products for the IIoT market to enable adaptive learning and real time control at the edge for machine/engine monitoring, signal conditioning, embedded computers and gateways.

For the defense market, Ectron is developing similar capabilities in the embedded computing products to be launched later this year. The systems engineering, design engineering (hardware, software and mechanical) for product design and development, USA based manufacturing, systems integration and test capabilities of Ectron are what the company is going to leverage to bid for these contracts.
