Preferred Systems Solutions (PSS) last week said it acquired GSM Consulting, a software engineering and cyber security services firm in a deal that strengthens PSS’ position as a provider of software, cyber and mobile solutions to the intelligence community. iStock Computer

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“The acquisition of GSM, with a successful track record of outstanding customer support within the intelligence community, expands our commitment to those men and women,” Scott Goss, CEO of PSS, said in a statement.

PSS has customers in the federal civilian, Defense Department and intelligence community.

Donald McKinley, president and CEO of GSM, will become vice president of the National Security Group division in PSS.

GSM is a veteran-owned small business employing more than 70 analysts, engineers and IT professionals. Both companies, which are based in Northern Virginia, have capabilities in software development, systems engineering, network engineering, cyber security, operations, systems administration and architecture.
