Planet Nabs NATO Award For Geospatial Intelligence

Planet Labs [PL] on Thursday said it has won a “seven-figure contract” from NATO to provide geospatial intelligence and related analytics for daily Earth observation of the alliance’s areas of interest. The value of the award was not disclosed. NATO’s Allied Command Transformation said Planet will provide persistent space-based surveillance, enhanced early indicators and warnings, improved maritime domain awareness, and the ability to monitor ceasefires and violations of international law.
