Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has said the Pentagon will partner with the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to take a look at where cuts can be made at the department. “We welcome Elon Musk and DOGE coming into our department to help us identify additional ways in which we can streamline processes, fast track acquisitions, cut waste, cut tail to put it to tooth,” Hegseth said during an interview Sunday on Fox News.
