Pentagon Awards Four Firms $2.6 Billion For 3,126 MRAPs

The Pentagon yesterday awarded more than $2.6 billion to four companies for an additional 3,126 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles to be manufactured and completed by end of July 2008. International Military and Government LLC (IMG), was the big winner, capturing $1.183 billion firm-fixed-priced delivery order to purchase an additional 1,500 Category I (CAT I) MRAP Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) vehicles.
