National security, budget issues and jobs topped the agenda yesterday as Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Deputy Defense Secretary William Lynn met at the Pentagon with the top officials of companies that are members of the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA).
Panetta’s spokesman George Little said in a statement Monday the Secretary would emphasize the need for industry to work with DoD toward a strong national defense informed by fiscal discipline.
Today, company CEOs will speak out at AIA-sponsored event in Washington, D.C., on their concerns about defense budget cuts, national security and jobs. The AIA event is part of the National Aerospace Week.
