Panel Blocks DoD From Reducing Funds For Vehicle Upgrades

The House Armed Services Committee (HASC) in an Aug. 10 letter denied the Defense Department's request to remove $143.2 million in research and development funds slated for upgrading M1 Abrams tanks and M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicles (BFVs), as well as $200 million in procurement monies for modifying Bradleys.
