Over One Week The Navy Awards GD Electric Boat Nearly $2 Billion In SSN Submarine Contracts

The Navy awarded General Dynamics’ Electric Boat [GD] nearly $2 billion in four contracts related to Virginia-class attack submarine (SSN) industrial base support over the past week as the service seeks to improve boat production rates. On Oct. 4 the Navy awarded Electric Boat two contracts worth over $620 million total.
