Oshkosh Corp., [OSK] yesterday said R. Andrew Hove, Oshkosh Corp., executive vice president and president of the Defense segment, is leaving “to seek other business opportunities.”

The Defense segment will be directly led by Oshkosh Corp., President and CEO Charlie Szews until a successor is named following an executive search.

“The Company thanks Andy for his efforts leading the Oshkosh Defense segment, and wishes him success in his future pursuits,” a company statement said.

Oshkosh is the leading supplier of tactical wheeled vehicles for the U.S. military. With Hove at the helm, for example, the Defense segment in 2009 successfully captured the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) program, over a protest, which it now is executing for the Army.
