Situation management software developer Orsus and video analytics provider ioimage of partnered to be able to offer customers a combined solution. Orsus’ Situator situation management platform now supports intelligent video encoders and Internet Protocol cameras from ioimage. The agreement is non-exclusive and is the first of a number of announcements for Orsus with other vendors in the area of access control, intrusion detection and other systems, Rafi Bhonker, the company’s vice president of sales and marketing, tells TR2. The agreement between the firms allows Orsus to make sure Situator works with ioimage’s products. Situator provides situational context for video analytic products, Bhonker says. He adds that with the partnership, as ioimage develops new products, they will be able to be seamlessly integrated into Situator.
