Northrop Grumman Delivers Fifth AEHF Communications Payload

Northrop Grumman [NOC] delivered the fifth payload for the Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) program to prime contractor Lockheed Martin [LMT], Northrop Grumman said Monday.The payload was delivered at the end of September 2016 and is undergoing space vehicle level integration. The fifth AEHF satellite is planned to be launched in 2018, Northrop Grumman said.Each AEHF satellite provides a great capacity than the legacy 5-satellite constellations of Milstar satellites with individual user data rates up to 10 times greater than…
