Navy Orders $1.7 Billion In Seven More International Boeing P-8As

The Navy awarded Boeing [BA] a $1.7 billion modification Nov. 21 to procure seven more P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft for international customers. This award adds scope to a previous undefinitized contract and also procures Foreign Military Sales unique non-recurring engineering. The original $3.4 billion contract was awarded in February for 17 Lot 13 P-8As, 14 for Canada and three for Germany (Defense Daily, Feb. 29).
