The Navy League said on Monday it is pushing back the Sea-Air-Space 2021 expo from April 12-14 to Aug. 2-4 as a cautionary measure amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The organization is “acting out of an abundance of caution and in order to provide the Navy League of the United States’ customers with the best possible return on investment,” the organization said in a statement.

The associated STEM Expo scheduled for April 11 is also being rescheduled to Aug. 1.

Last March, the Navy League outright canceled the 2020 expo due to the Maryland governor’s order prohibiting gatherings over 250 people to help limit the spread of the pandemic. The organization did provide a subset of material as a virtual expo.

The expo occurs annually in the spring, usually in April or May, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Maryland.
