Navy Awards Huntington Ingalls $4.3 Billion In Contracts For CVN 79 Work

The Navy on Friday awarded Huntington Ingalls Industries [HII] two contracts totaling nearly $4.3 billion for work on the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CVN-79), according to a Defense Department statement.The service awarded a $3.3 billion fixed-price-incentive-firm target contract for all remaining detail design and construction (DD&C) efforts for the aircraft carrier.
