NASA Tests J-2X Engine For Ares Rocket

NASA engineers completed the first series of tests in early development of the J-2X engine that will power upper stages of the Ares I and Ares V rockets. Ares rockets will loft the next-generation Orion spacecraft carrying astronauts into orbit starting in 2015, first to the International Space Station and then, in 2020, to the moon.
