NASA gave Science Applications International Corp. [SAI] a $58 million, one-year contract change to provide safety and mission assurance at Johnson Space Center in Houston. SAIC will ensure safety, reliability, maintainability, and quality in the International Space Station program, the space shuttle program and the Constellation Program that is developing the next-generation U.S. spaceship that in 2015 will begin manned flights, replacing the shuttles that retire next year.
