NASA: Commercial-Crew Plans On Schedule

The four firms under contract with NASA to help develop a commercial space transportation industry have met initial milestones for their crew-transport systems as of this month, the space agency said yesterday. NASA’s Commercial Spaceflight Development Division released its first so-called Return on Investment report on the status of its controversial endeavor to pay companies to help build systems to carry astronauts into low-Earth orbit.
