Motorola Solutions To Acquire Mobile Mesh Communications Provider Silvus In $5 Billion Deal

Motorola Solutions [MSI] on Tuesday said it has agreed to acquire Silvus Technologies in a potential $5 billion deal that gives the company capabilities in scalable, self-healing, software-defined secure mesh networks used in front line defense, homeland security, and law enforcement applications. Deal terms include $4.4 billion in up-front consideration consisting of new loans, long-term notes, and cash on the balance sheet. Additionally, Motorola Solutions will pay up to $150 million in 2027 and $450 million in 2028 in earn-out…
