A long-time critic of the planned European Missile Defense (EMD) system endorsed President Obama's offer to discuss the EMD with Russians who vociferously oppose it. Theodore Postol, an MIT professor who has sided with Russians claiming EMD interceptors could knock down Russian intercontinental ballistic missiles, made his observations in a position paper in The New York Times Thursday.
