Marine Corps Equips New Magnetic Intrusion Detector Ahead Of Schedule

Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) is equipping Marines with the new and improved Magnetic Intrusion Detector II used to detect vehicles and rifle-sized targets traveling within their electromagnetic fields, the command said Monday.The MAGID II is 50 percent smaller, 30 percent lighted, uses 32 percent less energy than its predecessor, and is easily concealed.
