MacStravic To Become Acting Pentagon Acquisition Chief

Pentagon official James “Jimmy” MacStravic is expected to replace outgoing Defense Department acquisition chief Frank Kendall on a temporary basis, a department spokesman said Jan. 18.MacStravic, who currently serves under Kendall as assistant secretary of defense for acquisition, is slated to become acting undersecretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics when Kendall leaves that post later this week. Kendall’s permanent successor in the Trump administration has not yet been announced.MacStravic previously served as deputy assistant secretary of defense for tactical warfare…
