The Australian Defense Force (ADF) awarded L-3 Communications [LLL] a $208 million five-year contract to deliver soldier modernization technology to the Australian Army under the LAND 53 Phase 1BR program, the company said Monday.The contract was awarded via a competitive bid process that included extensive ADF field testing, L-3 said.Under this contract, L-3 will provide the Australian Army with targeting and detection capabilities designed to perform at night and under all weather conditions.
