The Australian Customs and Border Protection Service has purchased two CX-Pallet dual-view cargo inspection systems from L-3 Communications [LLL]. The screening systems will be used at border entry points in Melbourne and Sydney, the country's largest ports where more than 4 million containers are processed annually. The value of the order was not disclosed. The CX-Pallet system is equipped with the ClearView Imaging system, which is L-3's X-Ray scanning and image processing technology.
