Iomai Gets Small DoD Grant for Patch-based Anthrax Vaccine

Iomai Corp. [IOMI] says it has won a one-year cost-reimbursement grant for up to $943,856 from the Army Medical Research and Materiel Command to perform preclinical work on a patch-based version of the anthrax vaccine. Iomai will use vaccine antigen developed by United Kingdom-based Avecia Biologics Ltd. and apply its technology to formulate a dry version of the antigen that can be combined with an Iomai adjuvant on a needle-free patch.
