IBM Joins Lockheed Martin Team on NGI

IBM [IBM] has joined the Lockheed Martin [LMT] team that earlier this year won the FBI's potential $1 billion program to develop and implement the multi-modal Next Generation Identification (NGI) system, ending IBM's protest of the FBI's decision. With the protest out of way, it would seem that Lockheed Martin and the FBI can now begin to move forward on the NGI program, which over time will replace the current Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System.
