Foglesong, who was also commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe, is also the chairman and CEO of Stark Aerospace, which is a subsidiary of IAI North America. Stark Aerospace produces and provides support for unmanned aircraft and related systems, provides training and support, and also does systems engineering.

“Doc Foglesong’s background, decision making abilities and industry knowledge make him an excellent choice for the job,” Joseph Weiss, president and CEO of IAI, said in a statement. “His new position is important to determining the future direction of product and business development in the United States.”

IAI’s most recent chief was Uzzi Rozzen before stepping down in August 2012. In the interim, the U.S. subsidiary had been led in an acting capacity by Adam Rosen, who is director of Business Development for IAI’s Bedek Aviation Group
